Ana and Kelaula wanted to do something they loved- surf – for their get to know you/engagement photo session. Kelaula makes custom boards when he is not fighting fires for Hawaii’s Fire Department, so they brought two of their favorites and we hit the water/beach! I have to tell you that I am terrified of sharks, so we split this session- I shot from the safety of the beach (I know I’m a chicken-it’s was their dinner time though!) and Dave manned up and got in the water with Ana, Kelaula and his camera.
The last image is a canvas print we did for them for thier reception/house! We printed it as a 20×30 canvas gallery wrap, it looks great!

- Jessica and Jason – {LOVE – Princeville, Kauai} September 9, 2010Jessica and Jason were married at one of my all time favorite spots. Ahhh, the Saint Regis, what a beautiful location. Can it get any better than Princeville Kauai for an intimate wedding location?   The two trees where the ceremony was held seem to unite to create one giant canopy that blocks the sun enough [...] […]cassie
- Nolan – {KIDS – East Cobb} September 9, 2010Nolan was ALL boy, I think most of our session was spent running, that means me and mom too! It’s amazing how fast he was, definitely a future baseball star like daddy! When we did get him to slow down it wasn’t for long- Share/Save […]cassie
- Sonya and Shinya -{LOVE, Honolulu, Hawaii} September 9, 2010Sonya and Shinya came from Japan to have a private wedding (just the two of them) in Hawaii. They stood beach side reciting their vows and we followed their private ceremony with a fun beach side photo session. The beautiful bouquet was done by SU-V Expressions. Beautiful!
wonderful capture of love in Hawaii
thank you
can hardly wait to see the wedding photos
I had someone mention to me that you guys did amazing engagement and wedding photography. From what I have seen so far, I am impressed. In fact, I love the next to last photo of this series at sunset. That photo captures the essence of who Ana and Kelaula are to me. I also love image annakelaulaeng_105img_2466.jpg, mostly because I have never seen an image done like that. David must be a great guy to be swimming out there in the shark infested waters, you wouldn’t see me doing this.
On a personal note, Would you be interested in exchanging links with me? It seems like it could be mutually beneficial for our website visitors (I average 100 visitors a day currently).
I also have a quick business related question. Friends of mine over at Exclusively Weddings are interested in being listed on your blog as a text link at the bottom of this website under “Wedding Resources” or something like that. Do you have any other “out of the box” ideas for them to be featured on your blog?
Look forward to hearing back from you and keep up the great work!!
