It seems as if spring has sprung early this year. The trees are budding and blooming and babies sessions are booming. These sweet little twins were picture perfect! They were great sleepers and seemed to read my mind in their “posing” skills they showed off. They seemed to do the same thing automatically, really made me curious if twins can read each others minds (so jealous if they can!)
Towa, meaning Eternity, was so energetic to be only 1 week old, he was full of life. I seriously think he only slept about 2 minutes the entire time I was there 
. Most of the “eye’s closed” shots were simply him acting like he was going to go to sleep for us only to be fooled again when his eyes popped open and gazed back at us. Patience is a virtue when photographing little babies (and big ones too sometimes-he he), but I seriously could stay with the little’s all day. They are so amazing to watch- even if they are doing absolutely nothing, it’s a stage that seems to fly by and when it’s your baby you are sooooo tired and exhausted it’s hard to enjoy, so selfishly it’s my way of remembering my two girls during their time of little.
On another note, Towa’s grandma was visiting from Japan at the time, she has since returned to her home outside of Tokyo and thankfully is ok from the disaster. Our family’s thoughts and prayers have been with her and all of Japan.
It feels like spring yet somehow it doesn’t feel right being that it’s only March. However the warm weather has inspired me to dig up some oldies that never I never posted. Tulips!!! The shoot was done for Pacific Weddings Magazine in Honolulu Hawaii for their summer/fall issue 2010. It is one of my absolute favorite magazines next to Martha Stewart (all of them) if you are getting married and need great design ideas and inspiration this is one magazine you should not miss! For this shoot little Miss Gracelyn Dieterle posed as a “flower girl”. The flowers featured in the photos were designed by Designs by Hemingway (by Debbie Hemingway) and made up of Tulips and Ranunculus a beautiful combination of textures smooth and soft. The rich blue and gold table design was done by Sandra Williams from Finishing Touch.
One of my absolute favorite things about my job as a photographer is getting to see the miracle of life. Watching families unite and grow, and especially watching the little ones grow. Last time I saw and photographed Emma she was only 1 week old and enjoyed her sleep. This time around you could see her smiles and curiosity blossoming. She giggles and has the cutest facial expressions. She is even trying the beginning stages of crawling! I can’t wait to see what she is into next time at our 8 month session.
