Natalie and Danny Wedding

Natalie and Danny celebrated their wedding at Luana Hills on the windward side of the island. They are so sweet with each other- one of those couples you can look at and say “they are in love.” And talk about a romancer… Danny was singing to her as they danced and tears trickled down her cheeks, I even cried! Thank you Natalie and Danny for sharing these special moments with us! So often we see people “hold back” at their reception when we know they have more in them to share, thank you for being yourself!

Rowena and Ryan

Rowena and Ryan were so cute- they had great personality and it really showed in the photos! Princeville is such a great place for photos… I love the layout of the rooms that they face the afternoon sunlight- it brings such warmth into the rooms for prep shots- I love it!

Jenifer and Tobin

Jenifer and Tobin were married early in the morning at Luana Hills. WE were all worried it would rain, but it was perfect- the clouds shaded the guests as they watched the happy couple. And the kids were so cute. One of my favorite shots (at the bottom) the little boy eating cake… this is the exact reason no one wants their photo made while they eat- but kids can get away with anything! Shawnee Hammer from L’legance coordinated the event for the couple and things ran great!

Rose and Craig Engagement

Wow!!! Well, I know I have not been posting much in the way of thoughts for engagement sessions as of late (it is our busy season), but I just had to share on this one…We had so much fun at this session! When I first met with Rose and Craig- I knew they were going to be adventurous because of their request for water photos, but they seemed a little shy… well… not at all! Thank you two for such an awesome shoot! Can’t wait till the wedding day!

Brooklyn’s First May Day Show

Brookes May Show was so cute! I cried with joy at all the little ones dancing and singing their little hearts out! Because of school policy, I can not post any of the photos from the actual show; however we went to the beach later that day and took some more photos of her in her pareo and haku.




I am not real sure what part of the May Day show she thought this was, but she wanted us to photo her “new dance”

Kristy and Randy

Kristy and Randy were married at a beautiful cove in Maui, surrounded by their closest friends and family. My most vivid memory is “The Plan” unless you were there you would not get it, but Kristy’s father has this theory that as long as you have a plan (regardless of how good or bad the plan is) things will go well…I can’t do justice to his speech so I will leave it at that-

Deborah and Brandon Engagement

Ok so this is exactly why we LOVE and feel that engagement sessions are a must have before every wedding we shoot… We are at the park under this huge tree with Deborah and Brandon (see below) and of course I am at some weird angle trying to get some light through the top of the tree when …SPLAT!!!! right on my face a bird (which we never saw) took a HUGE poop!!! It was everywhere– it even went in my ear. My first reaction was to say in a few words that the bird had gone on my face- and so that was THE ice breaker for us- needless to say we all laughed a LOT about it and after I got all cleaned up we had a great shoot! I have fallen flat on my butt (several times), tore my nail off completely in the middle of the ceremony (and of course had to bite my lip and say nothing about it until later), walked around with my zipper down (after a quick rush to the restroom), but I think this was my most embarrassing moment in shooting! oh and no we did not take a picture of it (sorry but I wanted it off of me ASAP ;) -no time for pics-)

Claire

Brooklyn’s Video

I have to share this with everyone! Janice and Daivs from Video 21 Productions put this together for Brooklyn’s 3rd Brithday. They mostly shoot weddings, but they also can do babies, graduations and lots more. We have watched it hundreds of times (I think it’s Brooke’s favorite movie he he).
