A recent visit to Atlanta to unite two bffe (Dieterle’s and Lauderdale’s) allowed me to do photos of Janice, Davis, Kylie and now baby Jordan once again!!! It was a short sweet and fun session with a few silly photos that really capture their amazing family’s personality! We had a blast while they were here, soooo going to miss them now that they are back in Hawaii. Check out our facebook page for some fun trip pics we took while playing GA tourist!

Towa, meaning Eternity, was so energetic to be only 1 week old, he was full of life. I seriously think he only slept about 2 minutes the entire time I was there . Most of the “eye’s closed” shots were simply him acting like he was going to go to sleep for us only to be fooled again when his eyes popped open and gazed back at us. Patience is a virtue when photographing little babies (and big ones too sometimes-he he), but I seriously could stay with the little’s all day. They are so amazing to watch- even if they are doing absolutely nothing, it’s a stage that seems to fly by and when it’s your baby you are sooooo tired and exhausted it’s hard to enjoy, so selfishly it’s my way of remembering my two girls during their time of little.
On another note, Towa’s grandma was visiting from Japan at the time, she has since returned to her home outside of Tokyo and thankfully is ok from the disaster. Our family’s thoughts and prayers have been with her and all of Japan.
Sachiyo and Ryan were clients of ours in 2009, they had a intimate destination wedding in Hawaii. Ironically they are from Atlanta so of course when we arrived I called to let them know we were here and we would love to see them again! With a baby on the way we met in the park for some maternity photos, it was sooooo cold outside ( a big change from Hawaii!!!!), but I really love the bundled up look of the photos and she picked the perfect dress for a winter maternity session.
I’ve been waiting to post these great photos of Amanda and her girls. They were some of my favorites from the Christmas season of photos 2010. Amanda is one of the most stylish girls I know (always dressed to the T and looking her best!) so when she asked me to do a vintage style session with her and her adorable girls for Christmas I knew they would be great!
