Alyssa Jo – {BABY- Cartersville, GA}

Sweet baby Alyssa Jo, she was so tiny and such a good baby, I could have photographed her sweet sleep all day.   I love the little smiles she gave and her dream expressions- I’m convinced we dream at this age…just not sure of what!  The purple  baby cocoon, was one that I made (a little side project I’ve been working on, as well as hand made hair flowers), I hope to offer these to clients soon, SO if you are interested in them please let me know.  I was surprised at how well she liked the cocoon!  I almost felt bad taking her out of it because she was sleeping so well and seemed so cuddled in it.
Congratulations to mom and dad, she is a beauty!

Tyler and Landin – {KIDS- Atlanta, Georgia}

Tyler and Landin (I love those names), were the sweetest brothers.  We met near Lewis Park in Marietta, Georgia- the park has a great playground which for photos was good and bad.  Tyler was a pro at taking photos, if ever I need a model I will be calling his mommy!  He was ready and willing to take photos and he even had this cute little pose thing he did (kind of like the GQ models).  Landin however could not take his eyes off of the playground.  Mom had told him we will take photos first and then we will go play.  Great idea in theory only to a 3 year old take photos first meant “I take A photo then I go play” so as soon as he heard the camera shutter close he said “all done” and ran straight towards the playground to go play!  Once we convinced him to come back, Tyler did everything he could to get Landin to participate in taking photos :)  and not run off to the playground until we were all done.  Since Tyler was obviously willing and ready to do this and Landin wanted to play Tyler tickled, hugged, bribed and at one point just grabbed him in a bear hug to get him to stick around for a few shots.  The interaction and way their personality came out couldn’t be more real.  And at the end of the shoot, both boys were SO happy to finally get their prize and play on the playground.

Ashley- {BUMP – Maternity Photos Marietta, Georgia}

It seems like everyone I meet as of late is pregnant, or has just had a little on. I’m assuming there must be something in the water and therefore it’s soda (Coke or Pepsi -yes a southern girl that drinks Pepsi!), sweet tea, coffee or juice  for me only :) until someone figures out whats going on!  But the good part of that is there has been lots of beautiful belly shots and new babies to photograph and that part I love!
This session in particular was a great one I wanted to feature on the blog.  It was a new location for us, which is always great for us creativly but it was also symbolic to our client Ashley because it was shot in the creek in her back yard and the home where she grew up.  She recalled countless memories of the creek when her and her brothers used to play.  Not only that but the attire she wore was also special.  The red dress was her aunties from the 70’s, and the green army color shirt was her dad’s favorite shirt.  SO it was a great trip down memory lane for her and I absoulty love the shots we got from the session too!

Addison -{BABY & KIDS-Marietta GA}

Little Addison was such a joy to photograph, besides the fact that I love this age (18 months) of exploration.  From the moment we set foot in the park she was on the go, checking out everything in site.  I was impressed with her knowledge and her vocabulary was amazing! She is such a smart little girl and those eyes will have you staring!

Meet Addison- {BABY}

We photographed Kacey and Brett’s wedding several years ago and were thrilled when they called and told us that they were having a baby  girl soon and returning to Hawaii for a visit and would like us to photograph their new bundle of joy!  Baby Addison is about 3 months, she is such a sweet little baby, very laid back (that must be the Hawaiian roots in her), and so tiny.  You easily forget how little they are at that age. Congratulations Kacey and Brett, she is precious.

Little Ones {portraits – BABY}

 Celebrating Fathers Day, Grace and her friends and their daddy’s were all lined up for their close up. I had approximately 1 minute to get the shot (for fear of tee tee and tears, and the dads!), but I am happy with the shot!

Getting in to Trouble!

So lately little Gracie has been a little naughty, but all in fun and learning.  This is her playing in “her” cabinet which is full of things that are unopened or things that can’t hurt her, however climbing in as you will see could very well put her in the danger zone and she knows she’s not supposed to do it.  This time I caught her in action.

This is the look, that you know she is going to do something she’s not supposed to!

She got it!

My Girls!

So it’s been a while since I have posted any photos of the girls (we’ve been really busy :) which is always a good thing!). O I thought I should post a few over the next few weeks.

Here are some of my favorites from March and April (I know- bad mommy :( ))

Her “sassy” look, she always says, “I like her mommy she looks sassy”- too cute!

Those baby blues…

Sunny Skies over Hawaii?

Finally there is sun,  I feel like it’s been rainy and cold for months now, but it’s actually only been about a week.  So since the sun has finally returned I thought I would post some photos of the girls taken last month.  Gracie loves licking the salt water off the rocks-I know it’s gross, but see her face when I took it away!  Pray for sunny skies to stick around.

she’s so sassy with those glasses!

Check out the poor little goby she caught.

Enjoying the salty rocks

Mad because I took it out of her mouth.

If I didn’t know any better I’d say she’s eyeing up those rocks.

Gracie is One!

I can’t believe I am writing this, but today Gracie is one!  It has been a wonderful year welcoming her into our lives.  She is spunky, silly, determined, and is very agile and quick to catch on for her age.  She loves the water, dancing, music, outdoors, the beach, exploring, baby dolls, the kitchen (she has a special cabinet)  and anything her sister is doing she wants to be a part of.  I have several friends who are on the fence about having a second child, and to be honest we were too for a while, but we are so glad that we chose to have two! Watching the girls together, Brooklyn and Gracie chasing each other around, their laughter and giggles, Gracie’s excitement when she hears Brooke come home from school and Brooklyn’s excitement to see her baby sister- it’s just something you can’t explain, but have to experience yourself as a parent!

For her party we are doing a LOST theme. Not that she knows it, but we are all excited about it!  So of course we had to do some photos for the party of Gracie dressed up as baby Aaron (with a blanket :) ).
